Summary: Palm Pilot and comm port conflicts.
ViaDuct 4.2



Symptom:

With Palm Pilot software running, the specified comm port is unavailable.

Problem:

HotSync, as it appears to ViaDuct, is constantly using the Comm port. HotSync allows the user to plug their Palm Pilot into the PC at any time. this is why the comm port will "be in use" when ViaDuct tries to access it.

Solution:

The user will need to turn off the HotSync feature when they use ViaDuct to access the comm port.
