Summary: Error -623
ViaDuct 4.2



Symptom:

During installation an "Error -623, Error renaming file" occurs. . (This error may also be listed as a "Move Data Error".)

Problem:

This is actually an InstallShield error caused by file and directory sharing. InstallShield has difficulty transfering information when the installation/destination drive is shared.

Solution:

Turn off sharing to the drive that is getting the ViaDuct program installed on it. This can be done in most environments by right-mouse clicking on the drive letter and selecting "Sharing" from the menu. From the "Sharing" menu turn off the sharing until the ViaDuct installation is complete.
