Summary: File Transfer failure on D3/NT.

ViaDuct 4.X

Symptom:

Copy to host fails on D3/NT with the message <xx>variable<xx> is not a verb in the progress monitor, where variable is a line from the file being transferred.

Problem:

D3 for NT using a TCP/IP connection sets the Break Character to , which equates to a subvalue mark. When transferring a file with subvalue marks, the host programs will abort when the D3 system sees the break sequence, and the file transfer will fail with either a timeout or the message listed above.

Solution:

Change the break sequence using "SET-BREAK OFF" or "SET BREAK <xx>", where <xx> is the hex or decimal representation of the character that will be the new break key.

Caution: There is no "SET-BREAK ON". After turning the break key off, you must reassign it using the syntax above.

Example:

>SET-BREAK OFF

>SET-BREAK 02

02 will set the break key to <ctrl + b>
