Summary: Error during install - unable to register comdlg32.ocx
ViaDuct 4.2



Symptom:

An error will occur during the installation of ViaDuct 2000 dealing with the comdlg32.ocx file. The most common error message is the inability to register the file.

Problem:

McAffee anti-virus software will block entries made to the registry depending on its configuration.

Solution:

Disable virus protection during the installation. After installation is complete, enable the software.

This can normally be done by right clicking on the icon in the task bar and selecting disable.
